Have you ever had the privilege of knowing someone that has authored a book? I haven’t. That is until now. Erin Chase of $5 Dinners was actually the first blogger I ever met in person. I met her not even a year ago (so hard to believe it hasn’t even been a year) when I decided to attend Blissdom ’09. She graciously sat down and talked to me about the start of my own blog, the travel to the conference and blogging in general.

Since then I have had the privilege of calling her a friend, conversing with her regularly, sharing pregnancy adventures and rooming together at Blogher ’09. She is an amazing person. I can’t believe all that she is able to accomplish in the course of a single day.

And it is finally time to see the “birth” of her first cookbook! How exciting for her. And the rest of us who get to benefit from her recipes and cookbook. The cookbook – $5 Dinner Mom – is officially available for pre-order now! This would make a great Christmas gift for a friend or family member that enjoys cooking on a budget.
