$5 Dinner Mom Cookbook: Review & Giveaway

5DinnerMomcoverI have mentioned in many a post my interactions and friendship with Erin Chase of $5 Dollar Dinners. A few weeks ago I told you about her new cookbook and gave you information for pre-ordering. Well, pre-order no more, the book is HERE!

To celebrate the premiere of the book Erin has come out with a $5 Dinner Mom Does Holiday Dinner Plan that you can download. It comes with great recipes (obviously budget friendly), grocery lists and teasers for the cookbook. Be sure to download it so you have something to tide you over until your official copy arrives.

What I love about the cookbook (other than the inexpensive meal options) is that the recipes and ingredients are broken down by price giving you the total price for each meal as well. No guessing if you are trying to plan a meal for you family on a strict budget. In addition, each meal is a complete meal, not just one recipe. In addition to the recipe for making the main dish side dishes are included. How is that for not having to think through your menu? Erin also includes some great shopping suggestions for saving money.

Here is how you can enter to win a copy for yourself (you can comment using the following criteria for up to 3 entries):

1. Comment – What is your favorite recipe from $5 Dollar Dinners website?

Additional ways to enter:

2. Tweet or Facebook the following phrase. Have you gotten your copy of  @5dollardinners cookbook? Enter to win 1 @onceamonthmom. And don’t forget to leave a comment below stating you have done so.

3. Subscribe to the Once A Month Mom blog via RSS or email. Let me know that you have done so. Of course, if you are already subscriber make sure you leave that too.

This giveaway ends Saturday, December 26th at 5 pm. Winner will be chosen by random using random.org.

Disclosure: I received a copy of the cookbook for myself and one to be distributed to a winner. However, had I will be purchasing additional copies for myself and others I know. And I would have bought the cookbook if I hadn’t received it for free.
