  4. Krista says:

Am I missing something? I seem to be having trouble viewing the recipes on the August printable menu in Excel.

    • tricia says:

It is a Google Doc. You can “save it as” an Excel document if you would like so that you can change. If you continue to have troubles, feel free to email me.

  5. Jen says:

Looks like another GREAT month of recipes! THank you so much for all you do!!!

  6. Heather says:

This is my first month trying OAM cooking. The menu looks fabulous and I can’t wait to give it a shot! Thanks for a great looking month!

  7. Maria says:

Is the recipe for the pop tarts posted? I can’t seem to find it.

  8. Jo says:

okay, you lost me on the poptarts..we don’t eat the “real” ones because of the high fat, high sugar, low nutrition..so I can’t really justify making up a bunch…but for those of you who love them..have at it…and target has poptarts on sale for $1.88/target printable coupons for 75 cents…and manufacture coupons for $1/2..so 63 cents a box if that works out any less expensive than doing it all yourself…

This is my first time using your menus. I’m incredibly excited to give the August menu a try! Unfortunately, I can’t print any of the menu or the recipes. I had no problem printing the grocery list and instructions. Any suggestions? Thanks so much for this fantastic resource.

    • tricia says:

You may want to try one more time as Google sometimes acts up. If that doesn’t work, email me and we will try and figure out what is happening.

  10. Michelle says:

Poptarts reply…but how fun is it to say you made YOUR OWN Poptarts??!! I don’t buy them either, but they would make a fun treat or special breakfast once in a while. I am excited about trying them!

  11. Angela says:

on the chili cheese potatoes it says: “Top with the chili. (If you are cooking this dish during stolen moments, let the chili cool before adding to casserole dish” What does this MEAN? Are we cooling the the chili first? Thanks!

  12. Olga says:

Hello, and thank you for getting this amazing menu together! This is my first month, and I am really excited! Question for you…where do you find the deep dish pans that you use? I am planning to use as many pans as I have but will need some disposable ones as well.

    • tricia says:

I get a lot of my pans at the Xmas Tree Shops (you can search the site for that store to see some of my posts about it). I have also gotten them at my grocery store and occasionally I find them at dollar stores. Good luck, can’t wait to hear how it goes.

  13. Benita says:

This was my first time cooking this menu. I had a blast doing it! My twin sister and I worked together on it. We put pictures up on our facebook pages. For sure doing some publicity for you as several people are asking questions about it!! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=97727&id=579817861&l=f7a4365f17

    • tricia says:

Great to hear and excited to see the pics and hear the story. I will be posting a link up for stories at the first of next week. Make sure to come back and link up your post!

  14. Erin Mell says:

Is there anyway to do the poptarts with like a cinnamon/brown sugar middle? Did anyone experiment with that?

    • tricia says:

My husband has recommended I make cinnamon/brown sugar ones but haven’t had time to try it yet. He recommends squirt butter and a teaspoon of each. Let us know if you try that.

  15. Sabrina Pate says:

so for the roast beef sandwiches, do you make up each sandwich and then wrap and freeze? do the rolls get soggy?

    • tricia says:

I just made up the roast beef and froze it in appropriate portions. Do not freeze on the bread, it will get soggy. Either buy the rolls and freeze them separately or wait until you are serving the roast beef.

  16. Donna says:

We made the chilaquile casserole- it was a hit at our house and will go in to the rotation!

  17. Tracy says:

I just finished my OAMC this weekend. It was a long 8 hours, but now my freezer is FULL!! My 5 year old loved helping me make the pop tarts. We put a little peanut butter in some of them for the filling & it worked out great. It got her taste “seal of approval”

  18. Rachel W says:

Would it work to make the garden chowder like a dump recipe? As in dump it all in a bag, freeze and then cook in the crock pot? Just curious. . .

    • tricia says:

Having made it I am pretty sure that it would. The only thing I would be a “little” concerned about is the uncooked potatoes. Just make sure they are submerged so they don’t turn brown.

  19. Sara says:

I made the I made the creamy pesto rigatoni with tomato vinegarette tonight, it didn’t freeze well. The ziti came out very watery and not creamy at all. Love the potoato pancakes!

  20. anissa says:

let the creamy rigatoni set for a bit. mine was better that way

  21. Krystal says:

Thanks for linking up my baked rigatoni recipe!
