Test Cooks
Each month we have some wonderful volunteers who “test” out the menu prior to publication. They do an amazing job of helping to eliminate confusion and mistakes. They may not catch everything but they sure do catch A LOT! If you are interested in test cook, feel free to volunteer. Here is a little bit about this month’s test cooks:
- Marci Loehner - Marci Loehner is a stay at home Mom to two beautiful girls, 4 years & 7 months. She writes about saving money at CincinnatiCoupons.net and has found her love for cooking as she was saving money for her family! You’ll find the Loehner family at the race tracks across the US this summer as they race their Turbo’d 89 Ford Mustang GT.
- Courtney Jackson – I’m a working mom with 3 hungry boys, 10, 2, and 6 months. We are always between church activities, soccer, and just dealing with babies, so my husband and I have found that freezer cooking makes a much happier mama! I tell everyone now that I only “cook” on weekends!

Thank you for allowing me to be a test cook. This was so easy and my daughter’s favorite is the Green Bean Salad with the Apple, Blueberry, Peach Puree coming in a close second! I’ve never made baby food and being that this is my second child…I’m shocked I didn’t do this with my first, so thank you for converting me!
[...] I was privileged to be a test cook for OnceAMonthMom.com. Over the course of two days I made enough baby food to last Sissy about 2 months! She loves the Apple, Blueberry & Pear Puree and the Green Bean Salad….she simply can’t get enough. Get the recipes now at OnceAMonthMom.com! [...]
I made all recipes for the 6-9 month olds in 1 day and got about 2months of baby food. So far my little guy has enjoyed everything! The intructions were very easy to follow and it was nice that there was a grovery list provided. I did substitute a few ingredients to fit with our family. Thanks for the great recipes!
