Baked Pork & Apples
Print
My mom use to make this dish regularly for our family. I hadn’t made it in awhile and it seemed perfect with all of the pork sales that have been happening and with apples now in season. I wouldn’t recommend it for freezing as the apples might not freeze well, but it is a great quick and easy dinner recipe.

Sounds yummy. You should try freezing it. I bet the apples would be fine, especially since you are cooking them. I freeze apple pie all the time and they taste the same as fresh.
I agree with Paula – this recipe should be able to freeze without a problem. Dream Dinners had a similar recipe (it included diced tomatoes as well) using pork and peeled apples and it was freezer friendly.
Yum! This was excellent- I made it tonight and even my picko kiddo liked it, although he couldn’t bring himself to actually eat the apples with the pork- but still a success! I love how wonderfully easy this recipe is- put it together then walk away for 1.5 hours! I did add a little garlic to the pork as it was browning, but that’s the only change. Excellent!
I tried the baked pork & apples recipe,I think that was the best pork chop I ever had, & the recipe was soooo easy. Thanks

Making this tonight hoping it turn out good! I’m pairing with some mashed potatoes
I’m making this tonight for the second time. It was a big hit the first time I made it. I love the way the pork chops get so tender. The apples are sooo good… This was so much better than pan frying or broiling the pork chops like I usually do.
So glad that you like it. With apples coming into season soon it is sure to be a hit.
