One of my favorites (and Molly’s, too) was to put a banana and several whole, fresh strawberries in the blender. Yum!

I made and froze baby food for my daughter and am just getting geared up to do it again for my son. I never did freeze bananas, though, only served them freshly mashed. Do they turn brown when you freeze them?

Most of the time they do turn brown (I have had one batch not do that). They are still very good, and usually not that brown. Baby can’t tell the difference!

My daughter loves banana’s with yogurt. I puree it up and she loves it. Matter of fact my 6 yr old asks for it and eats it the same way.

  4. Tricia. I’ll be back here browsing through all of this later today! My food-allergy ridden almost-7 month old finally got the okay to start solids along with a long list of things that he can’t eat! I’m all about fast and frugal cooking. I always made food for the family that could be pureed for baby. Making special baby food is going to be a whole new world for me! I’ve only done a bit. I’ll need the tips :)
