Cedar Point Halloweekends {Giveaway}

Back in my “day” amusement parks were only open Memorial Day to Labor Day. These days the trend is for them to stay open through the end of October! October? How am I suppose to enjoy a ride taking me 300 feet into the COLD air and dropping me 205 feet in the middle of October? Well, wear layers of course!

If you just said, “no way” I have to question your true love of amusement parks. Also, did you just say “no way” to that but I will find you in the middle of December near a football field huddled under every blanket in our house in the middle of a snow storm watching your favorite team? Yes? Well, this isn’t so much different now is it?

One of the things that I love about amusement parks in the fall opposed to the summer is not only is the weather more mild and bearable, there are different activities and things for the kids (and adults) to enjoy that are not available in the summer season. Here is a list of the great things that Cedar Point has to offer during fall Halloweekends.

  • Skeleton Crew— An exciting spectacle of acrobatics and aerial acts taking place throughout the day in Cedar Point’s new Celebration Plaza!
  • The Goodtime Ghouls: A Halloween Hullabaloo— An energetic musical revue featuring a mix of rockabilly, swing, pop and disco in the Good Time Theater.
  • Gypsy Fortune Tellers— Find out what’s in the cards for you as you venture into Frontiertown.
  • Charlie Brown’s Funtime Frolics— Join Charlie, Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang for music, stories and spooky surprises.
  • The Magical House on Boo Hill— Whimsical illusions await at every corner in the topsy-turvy house just outside the Blue Streak roller coaster.
  • Monster Midway Invasion Celebration— Friendly monsters and characters take over the Cedar Point Main Midway with dancing, parade floats and music every day at 4 p.m.
  • PEANUTS™ Halloween Show and Kids’ Costume Contest— Bring your little pirates and princesses for pre-school competitions at 2 p.m. and grade-school competitions at 2:45 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in the Blue Streak Plaza.
  • Sideshow: A Carnival of Magic— Step right up for amazing illusions and jaw-dropping suspense!
  • And More!

And Cedar Point would like one of you to be able to visit them during Halloweekends and are giving away a family four pack of tickets!

Although I have been to Cedar Point several times, I have never had the opportunity to attend Halloweekends. I would love to go and experience it for the first time with my family!

  2. Fay says:

I would LOVE to visit Cedar Point. We moved to Indiana 4 years ago (from Georgia) and have yet to make it up to Cedar Point though it is on our list! I love being outdoors in the fall.

  3. Kim says:

Our family would love to attend Cedar Point’s Halloweekends because we haven’t been able to get away for a year. We are on a budget and vacations weren’t part of the budget. We are only 2 hours away so it would be a great daytrip and our kids would love it!

  4. Valerie Smith says:

I would love to win a Halloweekend at Cedar Point because I wasn’t able to take my 8 year old son there during the summer or well, ever yet. I spent my childhood summers driving from MI to Ohio to ride the rides, see the shows and enjoy what felt like the coolest place ever!! I spent my first wedding anniversary there riding the newly opened Magnum and being scared out of my mind. lol. I would love to share these experiences with him and show him an awesome Halloween/Fall experience at such an amazingly fun place. A great Mom and son bonding weekend.

  5. Stacey Powell says:

We have never been to Cedar Point, my twin boys aged 7 would love it! They are super pumped for Halloween too! As you can imagine we have double the expenses all at once for multiples. We rarely get away. This win would be a spooktacular surprise!
    Thanks =)

  7. Faith says:

My husband was born and raised in Michigan and we live in Tennessee. All I have heard since we were married is how fun Cedar Point is! We were supposed to go see his sister up there a few years ago, and it just didnt happen. Now the kids are getting older and are actually able to ride many of the rides. I would LOVE to surprise him with a trip!

  8. Kari says:

I would love to take my kids to Cedar Point for the Halloweekend. My husband and 3 kids have never been to Cedar Point and I haven’t been since I was a kid. My kids absolutely love Kings Island so I am positive they would be over joyed to go to Cedar Point. I would LOVE to make a mini vacation out of it since we have not had a vacation in quite awhile except for our mini staycation we put together over the summer because we just do not have the extra money to take a real vacation. My daughter that absolutely loves to dress up like a princess ALL the time sure would be excited about being able to wear one of her many princess costumes out in public also! That would just make her day!

  9. I would like to attend to watch my family have a great time! I can’t do the rides anymore since I get extreme vertigo and migranes from them. :( I haven’t been to Cedar Point in YEARS..but used to go every year as a child. I would love my children to experience that same magic I felt as child.

I have never been there in the fall and would love to see my 9 year old son’s face riding Millennium Force in the fall crisp air. He is doing a research project on Ohio for school and Cedar Point is included in it. He also wants to be a roller coaster designer when he grows up and Cedar Point is his most desired place to visit. He would appreciate an educational experience this October more than you know if we won! We love your website so much and appreciate the opportunity for this giveaway :) Thank you!

  12. Loren says:

Well my post is a little different. My family has gone through a really rough week and this would be something awesome to treat the kids and to do something fun and enjoyable as a family. Growing up in Texas Cedar Point was the Mirage for us Six Flaggers. The most awesome coaster park in the world, if it just wasn’t sooooo far away. And then 5 years ago I met my husband and moved up here and now Cedar Point is no longer a mirage but a reality! So, on Monday my mother-in-law who has been battling Stage IV cancer for the past couple years stopped breathing and was put in the hospital, our house flooded from a worn faucet tube from the top floor down to the basement causing 20,000 in damage and then Thursday I was fired from my job for missing to much work from being sick from my problems with Celiac disease. Once a Month Mom has been my gf/df savior for family meals and rely on it so much. But my family could really use a break and some fun times and would be overjoyed to go. Thanks guys!

  13. Chrissi says:

I would LOVE to win tickets to Cedar Point for Halloweekends! I have a daughter in college in Ohio, and we are in Tennessee! We have heard so much about how fun Cedar Point is but have not been able to make the trip. It would be such a blessing to be able to take her there and enjoy some time together as a family! Thank you for chance to win tickets! :)

  14. Jeanie Stone says:

I would love to win these tickets for our family because we haven’t been able to do something fun like that for a long time.

  15. Peggy Halbig Martinez says:

As a mom of three boys (four if you count my husband!) and a girl on the way in early November, one last hurrah at Cedar Point for my boys before the baby comes would delight them! Art, Ryan, Gabe and Elijah would love to spend the day boying around :)

  16. janice obrien says:

I would love to go to cedar point for halloweekends because Ive never had the chance to see that part of ohio in the fall

  17. Hillary says:

My kids have been begging to go to a carnival, but I can’t stand the idea of putting them on rides that are so easily packed up and portable! This would also be a great Halloween experience for them as we are not able to do trick-or-treating for Halloween due to dietary restrictions; they would not feel at all left out while experiencing all of those fun activities.

  18. Brenda A. says:

This place looks like an awesome place to bring our little toddler who is not quite old enough for rides but who loves parades and has fun walking around and looking at all the cool decorations.

  19. Emily says:

I haven’t been to an amusement park in FOR-EV-ER because my husband hates them! But I love roller coasters and don’t mind all the crowds!

  20. Beth says:

We’d love to go to Halloweekends, because between finances and our hectic schedule we were never able to get away. Now that we’ve “settled” into our school routine, a weekend getaway would be great. We’d love to win. Plus, fall is our favorite season- cooler weather, fall colors, funnel cakes on the midway, etc. Thanks!

  26. Terry Cover says:

From what I have seen by the pictures and have read , it is a fun time for the old and young alike. Just thinking how great it would be grandma and grandpa taking the kids to something completely different

  27. Bridget says:

I worked at CP while in college and then worked there full time (year round) for 5 years. Since getting married and having kids we haven’t had the opportunity to get back there (it’s been about 10 years since I left). My 3 girls would love to see all the decorations and ride the rides. I still remember decorating for HalloWeekends and how much fun this time of year was at the park. I would love to share my CP memories with my family.

  28. holley says:

We would love to go to the Halloweekends with our kids, they are at the right age to introduce to amusement parks, and what a great place to introduce them to the world of amusement parks. This is a great giveaway, and it would be a super fun family weekend. Thanks for the opportunity.

It has been 15 years since my husband and I were at Cedar Point for our honeymoon. Since then we have had three kids, who all want to go Halloweekends. 31. Christie says:

I’d love to go back to Cedar Point. I haven’t been there in at least 8 years. I could use some time with the Magnum!

  32. Martine S says:

I used to work at Cedar Point every summer when I was in college. I loved it! Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to attend Halloweekends because I had to go back to school before they started. I would always see them setting up though and hear my friends volunteering to be zombies and such. I always wanted to join them, but never could. This would also be a great opportunity to share it with my husband who has never been to Cedar Point ever!

  33. Lisa F says:

Our family would love to head to Cedar Point. We have never been, but have relatives that said it is great. I think it would be a perfect fall trip!

  34. Stephanie says:

We are expecting a new baby in November. so I would love to give my older two boys a special big brother date even if I can’t do the rides. Plus its been ages since hubby and I went. Maybe all the walking would start my labor too!
