Cortney’s Mom’s Mushroom Burgers
Here is a very simple but delish dinner idea that my mom (Cortney’s) makes when she has extra beef on hand.
Ground beef made into patties (she usually makes a couple of pounds at a time and has leftovers, I usually only make a pound for me, husband and son).
garlic powder
can of condensed cream of mushroom or golden mushroom soup
Fry patties on medium heat in a large deep dish frying pan, add garlic powder, salt and pepper to desired taste (mom usually adds powder on both sides) until done. Take out and set aside. Pour soup and one can of water in same frying pan, stirring until mushroom soup is mixed well with water, until warmed (medium heat). Add burgers to soup and turn burner down to simmer, cover. Allow to simmer for about 15 minutes, flipping burgers once half way through.
We usually eat these with mashed potatoes and the soup is used as gravy. But we sometimes will eat them on whole wheat buns as actually burgers.
