Freezer & Kid Friendly Back-To-School Recipes

I thought I would end this incredible Back-To-School Giveaway Bonanza week by highlighting some of my favorite kid-friendly recipes on this site. These are recipes I have created and not ones that are on the menus but also kid friendly. There are, of course, many recipes on the menus that are kid friendly. After all, I am making these menus for families with children!

However, these are the recipes that seem to appeal the most to the kid audience. They are also freezer friendly! For the recipe cards on making them in large portions, visit the indicated month’s “printable menu”.

Homemade Pop Tarts – Yum! I am getting ready to make some more of these. I think it is high time I did more experimenting with flavors!

Toddler French Toast Sticks – I would think this one would be higher up on the list if I were gauging by the number of tweets or comments I get on recipes. However, it hasn’t been around as long as some of the others so I have no doubt that given time it will be working it’s way up the charts.

Fruity Breakfast Burritos – If you want to cut down on sugar and eliminate some of the mess you can do these without the cinnamon sugar, or wrap that part on the inside. Any way you look at it they are a kid favorite!

Corn Dog Muffins – Now that Isaac is eating hot dogs, I think I am going to have to try these on him. He loves muffins too, this might just be the summer lunch solution we have been looking for.

Individual Mac & Cheese – A great snack on the go or at home! They heat up quickly and easily. It is a mac and cheese you can be proud to serve your kids!

Homemade Cheesy Rice – Add chicken to these if you feel they lack protein but any way you serve them they are delicious!

Pizza Croissants – These will be gobbled up in minutes!

Ham & Potato Pockets – You might wish to omit the onions if your kids aren’t fans but this is a great way to sneak a vegetable into their lunch. And they are super tasty too!

Mini Meatloaf – Again, single portions are awesome! And these sneak in a few vegetables too!

This is very cool. I like your site.

But I notice that these kid friendly back to school lunches don’t seem to be all that easy to actually take to school, is there anything on your site that would travel well and be good cold?

    Riley,
The Bread Becker’s sell a lunch box that might help you with taking some of these recipes to school and them stay hot. It is really cool, it has different sections, some hot, some cold. It is a little pricey, but it works great! Check it out at Breadbeckers.com
