Test Cooks
Each month we have some wonderful volunteers who “test” out the menu prior to publication. They do an amazing job of helping to eliminate confusion and mistakes. They may not catch everything but they sure do catch A LOT! If you are interested in test cook, feel free to volunteer. Here is a little bit about this month’s test cooks:
- Lynnea Motter: I am a mom to two boys, Barrett (6) and Nathan (4 in January) and married to Charlie, a middle school assistant principal. I was a teacher before my kids were born and now work at home doing medical transcription. All free time is spent making some kind of a mess, usually with crafts or cooking.
- CaryAnn Hancock: I’m a stay home mom to three amazing children! I’ve only just begun my gluten free journey and am learning a whole new way to cook and bake. It’s been challenging and exciting all at the same time! I blog about food atwww.lifeinspiredcooking.blogspot.com

Oh my gosh! Once A Month Mom linked to me! AHHHHHHH!!! :-) Thank you! I hope you enjoy the fajitas. They’re a family favorite around here.
:) Glad to make your new year bright. :)
There is a typo in the image on this page…It says “Diary-Free”
Yes, good eye. We were waiting for the image change.
Thank you for featuring my Beef and Tater Bites! I’ll be sure to link back.
Happy New Year!
I am confused. I looked at the recipe for Southern Chicken and Corn Chowder under the Gluten And Dairy Free menu. It calls for both milk and flour. How is it gluten and dairy free? And if I have to make my own subs how does the grocery lists and recipe cards work? Can a subscriber edit them?
Gina – you have to access the recipe cards to see our adaptions of these recipes to make them gluten free and dairy free. These are just the recipes from which we brought to this menu. We like to give the creator credit and traffic and for you to see the product.
Thanks Tricia. I was in a hurry that day and didn’t read the paragraph at the top of the page concerning special instructions.
Couldn’t I use thawed hash browns for the shredded potatoes in the Beef & Tater bites?
Yes I think that would be a fine substitute.
Made the sweet and sour chicken for dinner last night, SO easy and yummy! The entire family enjoyed it!
Thank you SO much for including our Applesauce Bread recipe and link!! I’m honored, truly, to be included. Long time fan and follower of yours.
This recipe is one of our favorites and inspired our Gluten Free Apple Ring Donut Recipe, as well. Just as wonderful for breakfast or snacks.
Thanks again! SO much!
Thank you for having such wonderful recipes! We’re happy you’re here.
The Applesauce Bread is AMAZING! Instead of bread, I made muffins . . . ohhhhh sooooo good!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Love the bread!
I am so excited that the sloppy joes appeared! My family loves sloppy joes, but what comes in a can is so high in high fructose corn syrup – blah! Thanks for all of the lovely recipes!!!
On the recipe cards for the Bubble Crumb Bacon Breakfast Bake, it calls for either eggs or an egg substitute. Do you have a recommendation for an egg substitute? for a dish like this? The normal tricks to substitute for eggs don’t really work for “eggy” dishes like this, and I have been searching high and low for something I can use instead!

There seems to be an error in the Grocery List file. The Sausage Patties amount doesn’t change when the serving size changes.
That is a formula recipe so the patties will not change unless you go over a certain amount of servings. I will ensure that you will have enough though :)
when i scale the recipe cards for 8 people, the shopping list tells me I need 60 whole eggs and 96 egg whites, which does not match the recipe cards. The recipe for the quiches does not scale properly – something is wrong with your formulas. The shopping list and recipe cards also call for 8 pounds of pork chops for 8 servings.
Thank you Nicole, yes there was a formula error in the cards. It’s corrected now.
