Green Chile Burgers
As the weather starts to warm for us here in Iowa, our family comes out of hibernation and we starting spending all of our time outside. As this includes our mealtimes as well, I am always looking for ways to spice our standard grilling fare. These Green Chile Burgers definitely fit the bill with the tangy mix of BBQ sauce and worcestershire in the burger, then topped with a green chile sauce. So yummy, you don’t even need a bun!

Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- .25 cups minced onions
- .125 cups BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- .25 cups Monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 4 oz diced green chiles
- .50 cups green enchilada sauce
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, bbq sauce, Worcestershire and shredded cheese. Divide mixture into 4 even sized balls and form into patties. Using your finger or the back of a spoon, make a slight well in the center of each patty to ensure uniformity of cooking. Grill burgers over medium high heat for about 5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together green chiles and enchilada sauce. Microwave about 60 seconds to warm the mixture. When burgers are done cooking, top with the warmed sauce and enjoy!
