the spreadsheet is not working for me. I can see it but I can’t type how many people i am cooking for in it. can anyone help me?
I sure can help!
You just need to go to this post: http://onceamonthmom.com/diet-menu-using-google-docs/ – and follow the directions. You have to copy the Google Doc first because otherwise you would be changing the portions for everyone. I am sure that you will not be the only person with this question. Please comment or email if you continue to have issues.
First time I’m doing the OAM cooking. I’ve looked through your FAQ’s and I’m still confused about the quantities….the yellow boxes on the Google spreadsheets, are they for the # of PEOPLE in our families or the # of FAMILIES we are cooking for. I put 4 in for the Grocery List and Recipe Cards (4 people in my family) and am getting huge quantities. For example, the Turkey Burger recipe says that it serves 4 but calls for 4 pounds of ground turkey. I’m really looking forward to this Diet version but need a little help to get going. Thanks!
The number of servings indicated on that recipe is how many servings the recipe originally calls for. We probably need to eliminate that box to eliminate the confusion. The yellow box is for PEOPLE not FAMILIES. So if you put in 4 for people the change in servings would be that you are making 16 servings (1 burger each, 4 times during the month.) Does that make sense? The DIET menu is formulated a little different than the TRADITIONAL menu in that sense. Feel free to post additional comments/questions as I am sure others are asking the same. Or email us.
by red peppers do you mean red bell peppers? Cuz my store does not have fresh red peppers unless they are bell…
Ah, yes. Red Bell Peppers. Thanks for catching that!

Unless I’m just frazzled (quite possible) I don’t see cabbage on the shopping list…
I am trying to change the # of people I am cooking for from 1 to 4 and the spreadsheet is not letting me. Not sure why?
There is a link to using the Google Spreadsheet. You actually have to go through some steps to copy and save it as your own and then you can change it. Otherwise, you would be changing it for everyone. Email us if you have trouble finding that link.
