These are the step-by-step instructions you will need to quickly and efficiently approach your once a month (OAMC) BIG DAY by yourself! The ingredient quantities can now be found on the BABY FOOD 9-12 Month FALL 2011 Recipe Cards.

Instructions
Meat used:
- Chicken, boneless – it can be frozen beforehand if handled properly (Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Apples, Chicken and Veggies II).
- Lean Beef – it can be frozen beforehand if handled properly (Beef and Veggies)
- Cubed Ham – precooked (Ham, Pineapple, Peach and Apple Puree)
Thaw (in refrigerator)
- Chicken, boneless – it can be frozen beforehand if handled properly (Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Apples, Chicken and Veggies II).
- Lean Beef – it can be frozen beforehand if handled properly (Beef and Veggies)
Night Before:
- Optional (but HIGHLY recommended) – chop up all vegetables. (See Chopping Amounts sheet on Recipe Cards)

Ingredients that need CHOPPED (**indicates usually okay for food processor)

| 1 | Oven | Preheat oven to 400. Bake sweet potatoes for Sweet Potatoes, without foil for about 1 hour (or until soft when tested with a fork). Set aside to cool. |
| 2 | Steamer | Start peas steaming for Peas Puree. Steam for 14-16 minutes or until tender. |
| 3 | Stovetop | Start one saucepan with chicken and onion and prepare Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Apples (about 25 minutes prep). |
| 4 | Stovetop | Start second saucepan with chicken and onion and prepare Chicken and Veggies II (about 25 minutes prep). |
| 5 | Food Processor or Blender | Process the following items and transfer to gallon (nonfreezer) bags for pouring into ice cube trays:

| 6 | Refrigerator or Freezer | Place sealed bags in refrigerator or go ahead and fill ice cube trays, cover with foil, label, and place in freezer. |
| 7 | Steamer | Start steaming apples for Peach, Apple and Strawberry Puree. Steam for about 6 minutes or until tender. Add peaches and strawberries, steam for about 5 minutes or until tender. |
| 8 | Stovetop | Start one saucepan with apples and prepare Apple, Kiwi and Pear Puree (about 20 minutes prep). |
| 9 | Stovetop | Start second saucepan with blueberries and prepare Blueberry Puree (about 20 minutes prep). |
| 10 | Food Processor or Blender | Process the following items and transfer to gallon (nonfreezer) bags for pouring into ice cube trays:

| 11 | Refrigerator or Freezer | Place sealed bags in refrigerator or go ahead and fill ice cube trays, cover with foil, label, and place in freezer. |
| 12 | Steamer | Start steaming carrots and prepare Carrot Puree (about 20 minutes prep). |
| 13 | Stovetop | Start one saucepan with beef, garlic powder and onion and prepare Beef and Veggies (about 30 minutes prep). |
| 14 | Stovetop | Start second saucepan with peaches and prepare Ham, Pineapple, Peach and Apple Puree (about 25 minutes prep). |
| 15 | Food Processor or Blender | Process the following items and transfer to gallon (nonfreezer) bags for pouring into ice cube trays:

| 17 | Steamer | Start steaming cauliflower for Cheesy Tomato and Cauliflower Puree. |
| 18 | Steamer | Start steaming parsnips for Spinach & Parsnips Puree. Steam for about 20 minutes, or until tender. |
| 19 | Stovetop | Start one saucepan with butter and tomatoes and prepare Cheesy Tomato and Cauliflower Puree. |
| 20 | Stovetop | Start second saucepan with spinach for Spinach & Parsnips Puree. |
| 21 | Food Processor or Blender | Puree Bananas. |
| 22 | Food Processor or Blender | Process the following items and transfer to gallon (nonfreezer) bags for pouring into ice cube trays:

| 23 | Refrigerator or Freezer | Place sealed bags in refrigerator or go ahead and fill ice cube trays, cover with foil, label, and place in freezer. |
| 24 | Steamer | Start steaming green beans for Green Bean Puree. Steam for about 30 minutes, or until tender. |
| 25 | Food Processor or Blender | Puree Avocados. |
| 26 | Food Processor or Blender | Puree Sweet Potatoes. |
| 27 | Food Processor or Blender | Process the following items and transfer to gallon (nonfreezer) bags for pouring into ice cube trays:

| 28 | Refrigerator or Freezer | Place sealed bags in refrigerator or go ahead and fill ice cube trays, cover with foil, label, and place in freezer. |
| 29 | Freezer | Place all of your ice cube trays out on a flat surface. Using your gallon bags of pureed food, cut a small hole in a bottom corner of the bag and use it to pour/squeeze the purees into ice cube trays. DO NOT OVERFILL. Only fill each cube up to the sides and not overflowing the sides. Cover each tray with aluminum foil and label. Freeze for at least 24 hours before transferring to quart or gallon freezer bags for long-term storage. |
