When you do the spasagna are you baking the white part on your cooking day or are you layering it all and baking it later? I noticed the original recipe says you are supposed to bake just the white layer and then add the red sauce but not bake that part, so I’m just wondering how you did it.
thanks!
The way I adapted it (see recipe cards) was to layer it all and then freeze/bake because I thought it would be easier this way as a make ahead meal. But you could also do as the original recipe says and just add the red sauce later.
Please see the printable recipe cards for full instructions and adapted freezing directions.
Hi,
This morning I printed out the grocery list to prepare meals for 3 people, which included 3 medium onions. When I got to the instructions this afternoon, it says to chop 7.5 medium onions. Which is correct?
Actually, for 3 servings it should be 9 onions total. Sorry, this caused us to do some looking and there were problems with several of the formulas so this might not be the only short coming you have for this menu (relook at chicken broth and the produce again). I have fixed the grocery list now and we will be doing an update post so that other readers know to reprint their grocery list. Sorry about this, we usually catch these formula problems during testing. :(
Ok, I’ve looked at, used some of your recipes, and been a reader for a while but found putting together a whole menu at once overwhelming. Why did I never notice the instructions before!?! You’ve made it so easy on us. Thank You! I will definitely try this out when I get a chance.
