Join Me at Type A Parent Conference!
From time to time you hear me mention that I’m headed to a conference. Occasionally, I have a sponsor, most the time I do not. The reason I have attended blogging conferences over the years has been to meet others doing what I am doing, to meet with brands I haven’t yet been able to connect with, to learn how to grow this blog and how to connect with readers more and to simply get away for a few days. I’m not sure why I feel I need a reason to justify my getaways, I just always do.
The first conference I ever attended was Blissdom in 2009; one week after I started Once A Month Mom. In fact, I started Once a Month Mom on February 1, 2009 so I would HAVE a blog to represent at the conference. It was crazy but it worked out quit nicely. And this year, I attended Blissdom with a friend who doesn’t have anything but a personal blog but was inspired to create a new blog after attending. THAT is why I go to conferences!
Regularly I might think that I don’t know how many of my readers really have blogs BUT I have been asking you to link up lately and it is CLEAR that many of you do have blogs. Big and small. So have you ever attended a conference? Why or why not?
The next conference I am attending will be Type A Parent Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina June 22-24, 2012. I have never attended the conference but I have heard so many good things about it that I can’t wait to go. I think they named the conference after me anyway. You can’t really get much more Type A than me! :) And how can you go wrong with the South in the summer?
