Join Us in Cleveland, OH!

This weekend (July 3rd) Jenny and I are taking out our party throwing, fun-loving, hot-dog-eating selves on the road to Cleveland, Ohio. Well, Vermilion to be exact! We are so excited to  have been invited to be hostess’ of Hebrew National’s Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnic.

Besides getting to hang out with Jenny and I for the day, you will also get to hang with the lovely Cooper Munroe from TheMotherhood.com, Grace Hester, and Tesa from 2 Wired 2 Tired. AND there will be FREE hot dogs provided by Hebrew National Hot Dogs (duh, you saw that coming, right?), fruit and drinks.

And aside from the entertainment that Jenny usually provides, there will be games for the kids to play, a mechanical bull, and two hands-on service projects that enlist your creative side!

What makes these events better than a picnic, is the service organizations that get served while we are picnicing. For this event we are gathering the below listed products to put together gift baskets to the local USO and the Hitchcock Center in Cleveland. Given that it is Fourth of July weekend we wanted to celebrate our veterans and make thank you care packages for them. We will also be writing and decorating thank you cards for them. For the Hitchcock Center we will also be making care packages and decorating canvas’ to send with the packages. So bring some hygiene products and your creative side and join us at the picnic for lots of fun and food.

Dayton Folks - Help Us Fill It Up!

If you are in the Dayton, Ohio area and can’t get to Cleveland this weekend, please consider contacting myself or Jenny and dropping off your hygiene products! Jenny and I are hoping to load up the back of my SUV and her car top carrier with as many products as we can fit! Help us make this happen! (We need products delivered before Friday morning (7/2) at 8:00 am).

Here are the details about the event for those of you joining us in Cleveland:

Date: July 3rd, 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

Location: Victory Park in Vermilion, Ohio. Located on Main Street (Rt. 60) between Liberty Ave. and Ohio St. in Vermilion, Ohio. (OK so it’s a little further west of Cleveland but we couldn’t resist the perks of Victory Park!)

Who: Bring kids, family, and friends!

• Women’s body wash/soap
• lotion
• toothpaste (kids’ toothpaste also)
• toothbrushes (adults and kids)
• baby/kid body wash and shampoo
• shampoo
• conditioner
• deodorant
• dental floss
• chapstick
• travel size baby wipes
• Food items:
  • dry powder drink mixes
  • fruit snacks/fruit roll-ups
  • raisins
  • beef jerky (says there’s never enough)
