Make A Difference: Send a Kraft e-Card, Feed Many
One of the greatest joys in my life is feeding my family. I love the satisfied and pleased looks and sounds that come from them when they are gobbling up their favorite dish. It is really hard for me to imagine how I would feel and what I would do if I couldn’t provide this to them. Unfortunately, there are so many moms (dads and others) that can’t provide regular meals for their families.
Last week we started a giveaway for a Kraft Gift Basket. (That is still going on through 5 pm on 11/24). At that time Kraft also invited US (me and the rest of the Once A Month Mom readers) and 12 other blogs to participate in a holiday drive to feed a million people. And YOU, the readers of Once A Month Mom, can help feed so many through just a click of your mouse.
Now, I don’t participate in a lot of campaigns, but this one seemed so simple and easy for us to make a difference. And so incredibly appropriate given that we will be able to assist others in putting meals on their table.
Here is the deal!
For every e-card you send to someone Kraft will donate 10 meals to Feeding America. Each of the 12 blogs will be reminding you over the next month to send an e-card to any and everyone you know. The blog whose readers create the most meals (send the most e-cards) will win a $1,000 donation to your local Feeding America food bank in the name of Once A Month Mom Readers (and no, I don’t get anything extra, nor would I want to). This is such a simple way to provide for our local community and give the gift of food.
Please join us from now (11/23) until December 31, 2009 by sending an e-card to all of your friends and family and thus gifting other families with food this holiday season.

I tried this out myself before I agreed to have us all participate and was so super thrilled at the e-card. It is cute and animated. And the best part? At the end it gives you all kinds of recipes from Kraft that the recipient can enjoy. So these are especially good for the cooks in your life!
