Meijer/Lands End back to school giveaway!
It’s been a little while since we have had a giveaway around these parts. So I thought I would remedy that this week! Since we have been talking about getting ready for back to school and preparing our menu for going back to school, how about a back-to-school giveaway? Sounds like a good plan to me.
Lands End Backpack - Red
What are we giving away? First, I got a FANTASTIC Lands End backpack as part of my swag takeaway from the Mom Select suite at Blogher. I don’t exactly have a school age child so I thought maybe one of you fine folks could find some great use for it. It is a great backpack (I have hidden it from my husband so he doesn’t find a use for it).
Second, I have a $50 gift certificate from Meijer to give away. I figure that you can use it to buy back-to-school supplies, back-to-school foods or prepare for the August back-to-school menu. Either way, the gift certificate is yours to use however you wish. (Don’t have a Meijer in your area, don’t fret, they SHIP)!
Both items will be given together as one gift. Giveaway ends Friday, August 7th at midnight. Here’s how you can enter (you can enter up to 3 times using the different methods).

my son’s “preschool” backpack is looking a little small-he’s going in to 3rd grade this year. I love to make up some kind of useful gift for the teacher for back to school, things like pens, glue, crayons, markers, anything I buy for the class is one less thing the teacher buys out of their own pocket.

Hi! What a great giveaway. The backpack will go to a child at our church and I’ll keep the g.c. for myself, probably to stock up on school lunch items. Good luck to all!
I don’t have a school age child either, but the Meijer GC would be awesome. I tend to overspend when I shop at Meijer because they have such a wide variety of products (remember the “million reasons in a single store” ad campaign from a few years ago?) that I always find something that I gotta have when I shop there. But their wide selection is why I often use Meijer to finish up my shopping right before my OAMC day.
I would use the backpack for a diaperbag when traveling. They are great to be able to load up with everything I need for baby for three or four nights.

i work in a public school where some families cannot afford backpacks… it would be great to have this really nice one to give away to one of my kids.
I would give the backpack to a bus kid at our church. I would probably use the Meijer giftcard to buy lots of goodies for our new homeschool adventure this year!
I would love it for any of my kids. I don’t have a Meijer near me so could you just leave me out so others who can use it get a better chance. I live in OK.

I’ve been mentoring an at-risk child for 7 years now. I started working with him when he was in kindergarten and now he will be starting grade 7! I just graduated from college (I’m 23) and I finally have the resources to help him get his school supplies this year. If I won the backpack I would be able use my own money to get him some extra clothes and supplies to help him start the year right!

my church has drive where they fills backbacks with snacks & non-perishables for a school that has underprivileged kids. they recently asked for new backpacks to be donated. That’s what I would do!

Backpacks are always great for travelling, and a meijer gift card is always a big help. I’d probably use it to buy diapers on sale.
I plan to give the backpack to my grandson and use the gift card to help with his clothing needs for school.
I also have preschoolers, but my hubby teaches Junior High band, and they are always in need of quality bags to haul percussion, or to give away for the less fortunate kids who attend. The gift card would buy food for our august menu!!

Just found your site! I made most of the July Menu and I AM LOVING IT. We are going to Hawaii for a family vacation and we would love a great, durable Land’s End backpack to hold snacks while we hike the volcano!

I just found your website last week and signed up as a subscriber!
Even though I will be homeschooling for the first time this year, I would love the backpack for my son, as I will be using one mom’s tip to have my kids store their current schoolwork in their backpack, that way they can tote it around the house or outside as we work, and we don’t have to keep getting things on/off the shelf! I’ve heard awesome reviews of the Lands’ End backpacks!

I already subscribe. I have two in college this year and just paying tuition is enough to give me gray without having to pay for books and supplies.
Our church is collecting school supplies for kids in our local area. We are doing our best to reach out to the community. This would be a great gift for one of these kids. I’d use the backpack for cruising around on my bike, and the gift certificate….well, who lives without food? We all need to do grocery shopping!
Wouldn’t mind winning this..may give to daughter’s children..only school age grandchildren so far..others are toddlers.
With 8 children, 6 in school, 1 being homeschooled, and 1 with leukemia who schools at home and in the public school as much as possible,…we would definitely make use of the backpack and the gift certificate! But more than anything, I am so glad I found you!

My son needs a new backpack so this would be great for him. There are so many ways I could use the Meijer gift card. Our family seems to live at Meijer. I guess my first use would be to by the kids new socks and underwear before school starts.

In a few short months I will have 3 kids in diapers. The Meijer card will be spent on diapers. The backpack would be nice for toting around all the gear that goes with 4 preschoolers because my diaper bag just can accommodate stuff for 4.

Being a teacher I still carry a backpack (and it cracks students up, lol) so I would rock it myself OR being the caring person I am I can have one of my 3 girls carry it. I am a backpack/purse/tote bag collector. (According to my husband anyway hahaha)
