Menu Plan Monday: August 23, 2010 (& Kellogg’s Cereal Mom)
Kellogg’s Cereal Mom
I’m so excited to be sharing with you that I have been chosen to be a Kellogg’s Cereal Mom this fall! I am so honored and ready for the opportunity. Whereas we fix great breakfasts for our freezer, it is no secret that we also consume a good amount of cereal around this house as well. And some of my favorite dinner treats are plain ole Rice Krispies Treats (well and those we made in the spring Peanut Butter Eggs, Ice Cream Sandwiches, & Easter Baskets).
This fall, Kellogg’s is embracing the back-to-school crowd and talking about breakfast. It is true, as moms we want our kids to have a good start to each and every day. And many of us have fears and misgivings about breakfast cereal. I was interested to learn that despite popular beliefs breakfast cereal is not actually a large portion of our sugar consumption in a given day. (More on that in coming weeks).
So later this month I will be able to host some moms in my home for a Kellogg’s breakfast. And I will be bringing you the readers along, so stay tuned on how you can join in on the fun. In addition, I will be talking about Kellogg’s cereal and showing you some crazy recipes that you won’t BELIEVE were made with cereal! So grab a bowl of your favorite cereal and join us!
