Menu Plan Monday — Traditional

There are several reasons I plan my meals each week–it saves me time, it saves money (less temptation to grab a pizza or run through the drive-through on a busy night), and it saves my sanity when the “evil dinner hour” hits because I already know what I’m going to make. But even with all the benefits to planning our weekly meals, I occassionally find myself dragging my feet.

This week when I took my kids to the library, the cookbook section drew me in and I came home with a good-size stack of new cookbooks to browse! Finding new recipes to try was just the motivation I needed to give me a kick in the pants and get my meals planned for this week.

Did you know we have a recipe section here on Once a Month Mom? It’s chockfull of tried-and-true recipes we love, AND that freeze well. If you find yourself loving the idea of planning a week or month’s worth of meals, but are stuck in a rut, I definitely suggest searching the archives and adding a few new recipes to your menu plan.

Here’s my freezer cooking plan for the week: (See how I typically freezer cook each week)
