Menu Plan Monday: Week of January 11, 2010

I am excited to be participating in the Eat From the Pantry (Freezer) Challenge this month! Thank heavens since I desperately need to get my freezer cleared out if I ever want to get back into the swing of cooking my own menus!

As part of the Challenge I originally stated that I was only going to spend $15 a week at the grocery. I decided this week that it should be $60 for the whole month and not be that narrow to per week. The main reason being the Schwan’s guy stopped this week which sent me over for the week but will mean that we have vegetables for the rest of the month. Yes, for the whole month. We have that much food! Plus we still have great friends bringing us meals to make life easier adjusting to the addition of Tessa. At any rate, we have spent $21.95 so far this month at the grocery. That leaves me $38.05 to spend the rest of the month. We mainly need bread, produce, milk and yogurt so I definitely think this is doable. We will see. Here is our menu plan for this week.

**Don’t forget to enter the Pampered Chef Cookie Press Giveaway going on now through Thursday, January 14th.

I love that you plan menus too! I do mine on Sundays, and am just flexible on rearranging, depending on my mood and how events go during the week. ;-)
