Mom’s Sloppy Joes

My mom was a very simple cook, using pantry staples, and coming up with easy and delicious recipes.  Her Sloppy Joe recipe falls directly into the super duper easy category, with only 2 main ingredients, plus a dash of seasonings.  For years I tried to concoct my own sloppy joe recipe, adding this, and that, but I always come back to this very simple version. Reheat on stovetop or in the slow cooker for an easy weeknight supper.

Is the garlic called for minced fresh garlic, or garlic powder?

Megan – I prefer to use garlic powder, as my family is picky about anything “chunky” in their sandwiches – but minced garlic would work as well.
