OAMM Dirty Little Secrets: Chef Boyardee Pizza
When Amy was over cooking with me a few weeks ago she kept telling me she wasn’t a cook that she just followed directions. I’m pretty sure I have her fooled (and maybe even you) but I am NO CHEF! I really am more of an organizer than an experimental cook. If you have noticed, most of the recipes that I use are from other peoples websites. Every once and awhile I come up with something on my own, but rarely.
I am also no stranger to boxed foods. Whatever works I say! And let me just share with you one of my dirty little secrets: I ♥ Chef Boyardee Cheese Boxed Pizza! It is a throw back to my childhood where I remember my mom making this. Some of you might even make this pizza, I bet few of you make it and don’t add any other toppings. For me, I just like it with the sauce and the Parmesan cheese. Plain and simple.
I’m going to be honest, it stinks up the house a bit. I don’t know what it is about it but my husband always sniffs me out. It is some good stuff though. To see how you prepare this tasty treat just double click on the first picture below and click through step-by-step. The directions are below the pictures (and conveniently located on every box)!
There you have it, my dirty little secrets. I might be Once A Month Mom but I am no Martha Stewart.

Oooh, I thought I was the only one!!! I love it too!

I have also been making this since my sister fixed it for me as a child (50 years ago). In addition to adding real motzarella and other toppings, like italian sausage and mushrooms, I also add one can of Contadina tomato paste to the sauce, plus a little salt. This makes the sauce go a little farther and really beefs up the taste.
