OAMM Gift Extravaganza Week: KitchenAid 12-Inch Counter Top Oven (TILT)

I don’t know about you but I am a sucker for a good small appliance. Anything t make my life a little easier from day to day is welcome in my home no matter how much space it takes up. Well, as long as it isn’t fighting for time in the bathroom, that is.

So while everyone else is telling you about the great KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer, which of course, is fabulous, I wanted to tell you about OTHER great appliances that KitchenAid makes that might just make you as gaga as the KitchenAid mixer.

My new kitchen friend is the KitchenAid 12-inch Convection Countertop Oven. This thing is the power of a real oven in a smaller box. I have actually been wanting one of these for quite some time. Especially for the summer months when I don’t want to turn on the full size oven to heat up chicken fingers or fish sticks for the kiddos. Or to heat up dinner for that matter. The big oven just gives off so much heat.

But this little oven can do the exact same thing, stirs up less heat and uses less energy than the regular oven. I like that. And it is perfect for heating up small portions or the whole meal. The other night I used it to heat up our side dish of twice baked potatoes (recipe coming soon) while the oven was occupied at another temperature with our main dish. Perfect! I love being able to have dinner on the table all at the same time!

But I think the most fun I have had with this product was seeing Isaac when I received it. I decided that perhaps I should just save it and gift it to him for Christmas. He has become accustomed to us receiving packages regularly and I have taken to calling them “prizes”. When a package arrives he usually exclaims, “MAMA, you got a prize!” And then we proceed to open it.

On this particular day I was not around. Poor grandma. She had to endure hours of “Please open the prize?” while they waited for me to return. When I did we opened it immediately. You would have thought that it was a life size Buzz Lightyear or a new train table the way he reacted. He kept yelling, “Wow! Neat! So Cool! It is an oven. You cook? Isaac cook? Wow! Neat!” I just giggled. I had no idea he would be that excited over an oven. I know he likes to cook, but wow! I suppose to him it looks like an Isaac size oven. I can’t wait to continue using it to let him help me “cook”.

And here is the part you all have been waiting for, the fact that I have one to giveaway to a lucky reader! Here is how you can enter to win:

I’d used it for anything that fit in it! So much better than heating up the house with the oven!

  4. This would be very lovely to have in the hot months (we have no A/C). I would use it to cook dinner in the garage! Just like I do with my bread maker in the hot months.

I would definitely gift this to my wife, Marta. She is without a doubt the best wife, mother, daughter, friend and whatever else a woman could be!

She is the full-time caregiver of her mother who has advanced multiple sclerosis. She homeschools our twins who are in first grade. She supports me as a wonderful Army wife. She is the vice president of Programs the Fort Bliss Protestant Women of the chapel, which serves women from all over the Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas community. She makes and delivers meals to families in need. She’s constantly on the move and she does it all with joy in her heart and a smile on her face.

What better gift to make her hectic life easier. I would love to bless her, but even if she doesn’t win it, I just love bragging on my wonderful lady.

    Thanks!

I have been looking for a new toaster oven for my kitchen. I am pretty sure it would get a steady use of heating lunch for my kiddos….pizza, corn dogs, etc. I would love to try it out on something more adventurous. Oh, I would love to win this! My DH and I have been talking about replacing my old toaster oven for months, but just haven’t done it because we’re not big shoppers. We even threw away our nasty microwave this summer (no desire to replace that appliance), but that didn’t work to get us to go shopping for the toaster oven. We use the toaster oven daily for warming leftovers.

  52. Sabrina Lewis says:

I love these things! I would use the KitchenAid Counter Top Oven for heating up my kids lunch for sure among other things. DH said i can’t buy one, but he didn’t say anything about winning one…
