Oreo Truffle Balls

When the holiday season rolls around, my family has a list of “must make/bake goodies”, and these Oreo truffle balls top the list! They are super easy to make, and can be decked out with your choice of holiday sprinkles. I always keep a couple batches in the freezer for that last minute get together, or to surprise the kids for after school snack.
**Also note that we are starting our Chillin’ for the Holidays series which includes holiday cookies all week long this week, a Show Us Your Cookies Photo Contest and RSVP for the Once A Month Mom “Show Us Your Cookies” Virtual Christmas Party!

Ingredients:
- 18 oz package Oreo cookies, crushed
- 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
- 24 oz white almond bark
- Colored sprinkles if desired
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese. Form into tablespoon size balls, placing on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Flash freeze oreo balls for 1-2 hours. Meanwhile, melt almond bark in glass bowl, one minute at a time, stirring in between. Remove truffle balls from freezer and dip into almond bark, placing on wax paper to dry. If you desire a festive look, make sure to put sprinkles on right after dipping, or the almond bark will harden and the sprinkles won’t stick.
Freezing Directions:
Place in gallon freezer bag for up to 3 months. To Serve – remove desired about from freezer and let stand on counter for 1 hour before eating.
Servings: 36-48 Truffle Balls

These are the lo-cal ones right?? ;>)
can you use something other than almond bark? my brother-in-law can’t have anything nut related.
You could use melted chocolate chips as well.
It does NOT contain nut products
It’s called almond bark. Like bark of a tree. So it’s used to be the bark of something. Anything.
You just get to choose what goes inside of it.
Just thought I’d share so your BIL didn’t miss out on something that didn’t really contain nuts.
Oooh, Yumm! Where does one find white almond bark??? I have never heard of such a thing!
I’ve seen the white almond bark at WalMart, in the cake mix section, next to chocolate chips.
I love making these! Only difference is that I use the regular chocolate almond bark.
This one needs a “show us your balls” button with it (rofl)
I have made these before (DH requested) and heard they are really good. I didn’t let myself eat one though lol maybe next time.
Oh we are definitely going to try these! I just got a huge box of oreos at Costco so we are set! Thanks so much for sharing!
Will these get “gooey” if I put them in a tin with other homemade cookies…which I like to give as gifts for the holidays?
Debbie – I (Lisa) haven’t had any problems with them getting gooey. If you are concerned, you could put them in a small plastic baggie.
yummy…my little girl will surely love this. Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
Super Social WAHM
These are amazing. Thanks for sharing. I made them last night for my Christmas party. I couldn’t find almond bark so I used white chocolate instead and they are still good.
