Peach Puree Recipe 2

I bag of frozen peaches.  Bring water to a boil (just enough to cover). Add peaches, return to boil, then reduce to simmer for approx. 15 minutes until soft.  Reserve liquid, using a slotted spoon transfer peaches to food processor and puree to desired consistency.  If needed, add some of the liquid to peaches.

What if you have fresh fruit do you do the same? My husband works for a fruit packing house and we have tons and lots of time its starts to get to soft and then nobody eats its so I thought I could use those….???

I am wondering about that too Becky. Peaches are in season right now and I would like to buy fresh ones. You can remove their skins by dropping them in boiling water for a minute then putting them in ice water, then peeling the skins. I guess you would then cut them up into pieces and follow the same recipe as above?

Same way. I did all fresh fruits or veggies for my first baby. With all I boiled until soft and then put in blender and added enough water until it was the desired consistency. I bought a hand blender so it was easier for smaller batches.
