Pigs in a Blanket {Kid-Friendly}
“Pigs in a Blanket” are a childhood favorite my mom often made when I was a kid, and are now a lunchtime staple with my kids as well. They are easy enough to make that I like to include them in the prep, and like Tacos in a Sleeping Bag, sometimes a cool name goes a long way. Try “mini” pigs in a blanket too, by cutting the dough into smaller portions and substituting Little Smokies for the hot dogs.

Ingredients:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F. Unroll biscuits or crescent rolls. If using biscuits, use a rolling pin to flatten. Cut a slit lengthwise down the middle of each hot dog and place a half slice of cheese in the slit. Place cheese-stuffed hot dogs in center of dough and roll dough around hot dog, pinching to seal. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy. Serve with favorite dipping sauces if desired.
Freezing Directions:
Allow to cool, then place in gallon freezer bags and freeze. To SERVE: Reheat in microwave about a minute or until heated through.
Servings: 8
