My parents bought us one awhile back. I believe you can rent to own or something at a place called Aaron’s. Maybe check other rental places, ask for a freezer for a gift from close family, keep or buy an older fridge/freezer for the garage or basement for extras (my mother-in-law has one). Just some ideas for readers who are looking for creative or affordable ways to get an extra freezer.
I bought my first one several years ago. It was a small 5 cu. ft. chest freezer. Unfortunately, the military movers killed it in one of our many moves. So we took the money we were reimbursed and went to Sears. They were having a 12 month/No interest sale. So we got a 15 cu ft upright freezer. I lost items in the bottom of the chest freezer. I love my upright!! I would not know what to do if I didn’t have it. We live in a deer hunting area. I had friends sell me the equivilant of 3 deer worth of meat. Which saves us huge amounts of money on our meat portion of our grocery bill. So right now my freezer is pretty full.
We actually have two freezers and two fridges.. for our family or 6… I have one freezer that is meats/meals and one that is Veggies and bread/flour.. We have a large double fridge in our Pantry room and a smaller one in our kitchen once our kitchen is finished they are gonna swap places
i have a 6 ft chest freezer and an upright full size freezer.i garden and can and freeze produce all year long for my family and my extended families. My sister and I also go in halves on a cow in the fall.I’ve been cooking ahead and in quantity all my life…I have enjoyed your recipes and the effect it has had on my nieces…since its on the internet its IN now..
