I have been trying to move in a bit of a rhythm on the site more lately, not sure if you have noticed. When I started the Create Your Own Menu series I told you I would be posting on Wednesdays and Fridays. There are 3 more posts left in that series and I wanted to let you know that they will continue on Fridays picking up next week 2/12/10. You still have all the posts you need for entering the Once A Month Mom & DOLE Frozen Fruit Menu Contest so don’t get anxious!
Throughout the month of February we will be having Jessie from Vanderbilt Wife giving us updates on her progress towards “Whole Foods in a Hurry” on Wednesdays and Amy from Amy’s Finer Things will be bringing you updates on her progress towards the Once A Month Mom Cook Off as well as some great freezer and cooking tips on Thursdays. So stay tuned, there are many great things in store for you throughout this month!
**And don’t forget the two great contests going on this month (February 2010) to celebrate the Once A Month Blogiversary. Put your “Create Your Own Menu” knowledge to work in the Once A Month Mom & DOLE Frozen Fruit Menu Contest or enter the Once A Month Mom Cook Off. Great prizes and cash can be won!

That Menu contest is intimidating. I even have put together a bit of stuff, narrowed it down, and still I am not satisfied. Even if you aren’t the most regular at posting, I applaud what you do every month. Its lots of work!
Ha! I suppose those of you doing it will get a real sense of the work that goes into it. It is definitely time consuming. But thank you so much for recognizing that!
I know what you mean about not being satisfied with your menu. I have gone through the process and have come up with 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 8 dinners. I could submit them today if I wanted to, but I just don’t feel like it’s ready. I worry that it has too much of some ingredients, not enough of something else. Is it balanced enough? Will it have broad appeal to OAMM readers? I plan to continue searching for recipes until I like the selections. I hope to have it finished well before the deadline, but I second guess myself a lot, so we’ll see.
