Sliced & Diced: Green Beans

There isn’t an abundance of opportunities for us to use green beans in our Once A Month Mom menus, but there are on occasion. And I was attempting to make Tessa some green bean baby food so I thought it would be a perfect time to do a sliced and diced edition on them. That and they are on the August 2010 menu.
Here are my results:

- Chicken Supreme (can substitute fresh)
- Baby Food: Green Bean Casserole, Shepherd’s Pie Puree, Green Beans, Chicken & Veggies, Beef & Veggies


Green beans rock. My family is evil in the sense that they prefer canned green beand to fresh. I shudder the thought!
I blanched the green beans, then froze them in trays in a single layer. Next I put them in a big freezer bag and now we can have them whenever we want!
