Spicy Cheese Twists
If you’re anything like me, you sometimes get cravings for the most unhealthy food imaginable when you’re on a diet! While I haven’t quite figured out why that is, I have discovered a great, low-fat substitute for my buttery garlic bread craving that always seems to pop up at the most inopportune of times, like just before a weigh-in, yikes! These spicy cheese twists and their buttery, cheesy taste make a perfect, diet-friendly accompaniment to a balanced meal.

Ingredients:
- 1 can of refrigerated pizza dough
- Non-stick cooking spray
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (the stuff in the green can!)
- 2-4 tbsp red pepper flakes (more or less for your taste preference)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F. Remove the pizza dough from the can and roll it out flat on a baking sheet. Spray both sides of the dough with non-stick spray, then sprinkle parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes evenly over one side of the dough. Using a pizza cutter, cut dough into 10 strips. Twist each strip individually and place on baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Freezing Directions:
Prepare as directed, then cool completely. Place cheese twists in freezer bags; label and freeze. To serve, thaw at room temperature. Wrap in foil and bake at 400°F for 5-10 minutes or until warm.
