One of my favorite sides to have with pasta or other main meat dishes is this quick and easy garlic bread. It is SO much healthier than the frozen variety too! I also fix it and take it with frozen meals that I am taking to others, it is that simple.

Author/Source:

Tricia @ Onceamonthmom.com

Ingredients:

1 loaf French or Italian Bread (ready to cook or already cooked)

.25 cups butter or margarine, softened

2 Tablespoons garlic powder or salt

Directions:

Cut the bread loaf in slices, being careful not to cut all the way through. In a small bowl mash together the butter and the garlic powder/salt. Once mixed well, spread between slices of bread loaf. Wrap loaf in foil and bake in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until butter is melted and bread is browned.

Freezing Directions:

You can follow all of the above directions and just not bake the bread. After wrapping in foil, wrap in saran wrap, and if it fits put it in a gallon freezer bag (you may want to cut the loaf in half so it will). Freeze. To serve: Thaw. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

Servings: 4-6
