with thirteen weeks remaining until the big holiday I thought it best we get thinking about items on our Christmas list, especially if we would like to prepare food gifts. Food gifts can save you and your family lots of money but they do take some planning ahead. Here are some great resources for you to get started. OR feel free to share resources you are aware of.
For this Think Ahead Thursday I want to know your thoughts and anticipations for this week’s upcoming Tweet-Up. I think that I have pulled together a great event for you, but it really is only great if you get out of it what you want/need.
In honor of Gift Week I thought it would be great to highlight some great edible gift ideas. Whether it is a simple home-cooked meal, or a craft food arrangement, there are so many things that can be done to turn food into a great and practical gift to others! Come see what I found and share your ideas.
I wanted to write this post for last week but it seemed like it was inappropriate to think about Halloween before we thought about fall. So, I held it off a week. Do you have any additional resources you would like to share? Posts from last year and what you did for Halloween, whether it be a costume, party, favors, or food.
Join me as we take a look ahead at some of the activities that fall has in store for us. What about you? Are there fall activities that you really enjoy? How do you feel about this season? What do you have planned for the coming months?
I know we had a back-to-school addition a few weeks ago but not all of us have school age children. It is hard for me to believe that the hallmark “close of summer event”: Labor Day, is just around the corner. Today we are discussing summer must-dos, Labor Day weekend plans, and end of summer tasks.
Well, with my first child having a first birthday next week you can guess that this topic has been on my brain a bit. I thought it might be a little self-seeking again to ask you about this but then again all of you have birthdays and possibly children with birthdays so maybe you want to hear what others have to say as well.
This week I want to talk about appetizers that you serve either at Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Today, I thought it would be helpful to talk about Thanksgiving side dishes. Are there some traditional side dishes that you like to make sure are on your menu? Are there certain recipes that you prefer not to make that actual day, but instead have prepared ahead of time?
This post is truly self seeking (although I do hope you readers get some use out of it too). I, with the help of a friend, am going to have a garage sale in two weeks and I need HELP! I have never had a garage sale so I am feeling a little nervous and under educated. I know, I know, it isn’t really rocket science but I am a girl that likes order. So, what to do?
I don’t have school age kids but I am very aware that many of my readers do. And even though it is only July the school year will begin before you know it. Join in on the discussion of the things that need to be done and thought through before school begins.
I’m starting a new series around here called “Think Ahead Thursday” each Thursday we will be holding a discussion (yes, I want you to come join in) on things we need to start “thinking ahead” about. Topics will vary, join in the fun!
