“Today’s special is sweet baby wrapped in warm blankie in a calming ceramic pot.” -Erinne Fullam
I was so ecstatic when Erinne asked me if she could practice some shots with Tessa after she was born! Erinne has written several baby food guest posts here at Once A Month Mom and is a talented writer and photographer. I said “YES!”
One thing led to another and we joked about taking pictures of her in the kitchen, which led to talking about taking pictures of her in a pot, which led to a conversation about taking a picture in a slow cooker. Well, the idea stuck. So come photo shoot time I got my trusty Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker out and we proceeded.
Now before you go thinking I am being cruel and unusual lets remember that Anne Geddes makes lots of money doing something similar. And the funny thing was that Tessa was less than happy the whole photo shoot up until this point. But when we put her in the slow cooker? She relaxed, and stared and cooed. No lie. It was proof that she is, in fact, my child.
Those of you that are on Twitter have seen this great photo as I decided it HAD to be my profile picture. I wanted to share it with the rest of you as well. I also wanted to share some of the other great photos that Erinne was able to capture with Tessa. These were all taken at 1 month old (she is closing in on two months) so you have some perspective.
I hope this satisfies your “need to see more pictures of that baby” fix. And if you live in or around the Dayton, Ohio area I am sure Erinne would love to come “cook” up some photos for you too! (Yes, I just wrote that corny line. Forgive me.)
And don’t forget to stop by the right side bar to vote for the upcoming March Once A Month Mom menu. The 3 finalists are (in no preferential order):

She is absolutely beautiful! I love the pictures. Your family is truly blessed!
She is so cute! She looks very different than Isaac. And I personally love all those types of photos – babies in crockpots, whatever!
