I microwave them for 30 seconds which usually does the trick. If you want them crisper you can put them in the oven to warm. Thawing them at room temperature would work too.

These look great! I was just wondering how you prepare them when you thaw them. Do you put them in the microwave or just lay them out and let them thaw and then eat at room temperature?

I just found your site a while back and finally made the french toast sticks today. They are very tasty, but a lot of trial and error with my oven. I've suspected that my oven overheats for a while now; today, I am certain. I cooked them at 325 for 10 on each side and some of them still burned. Thanks!

Great idea! Maybe I'll substitute some maple syrup for some of the sugar and just reduce the liquid a little! Should be funny watching a grown man noshing on FT sticks on the bus :)

My kids beg for these! I am sure that he will love them. If he usually dips them in maple syrup, maybe add that to the batter so he doesn't get the car steering wheel so sticky. :)

I was reading this recipe to my husband as we're planning the next month's freezer stock - he was getting so excited about them it looks like I'll have to make double! They'll be great to throw in a ziploc baggie for him to munch on HIS way to school!

Just a note for those with kids with milk allergy. Having two toddlers with "cow" milk allergy they loved goat milk, and had no problems with it. Walmart sells goat milk in a purple quart paper bottle. It's the only store I can find it in my town. One has out grown it but the other has not. Looking forward to trying out this recipe. Thx
