What are Mini Menus? Mini menus are a fraction of the meals you would see on a normal menu and can be completed quickly and efficiently in a few short hours, in the evenings when you are preparing the meal for dinner or during small bursts of times like naps. Mini meal plans are designed for the busy family who wants freezer meals in their freezer but doesn’t have time to do a full months worth of meals. If you are new and not sure how to get started we have a wonderful series starting with 5 easy steps to get you on your way to once a month cooking. Good luck!
If you like this menu you might want to check out all our past Mini menus.

Are you a person that likes to see the menus visually? Perhaps you should check out the Vegan Mini November 2012 Menu via Pinterest to see the yummy goodness you will be cooking up on this menu. Not sure what Pinterest is all about, check out what Once A Month Mom has to say about it.
Test Cooks
Each month we have some wonderful volunteers who “test” out the menu prior to publication. They do an amazing job of helping to eliminate confusion and mistakes. They may not catch everything but they sure do catch A LOT! If you are interested in test cook, feel free to volunteer. Here is a little bit about this month’s test cooks:
- Jamie Clayton: I am a licensed physical therapist. In December 2010, pregnant with baby #3, I quit my job to stay home with my kids. My family adopted a vegetarian diet in early 2010. I now write a vegetarian cooking blog //www.thriftyveggiemama.com/. In addition to cooking I also really enjoy running, reading, and have started sewing.
- Stacy Lorenz: I’m a stay-at-home mom to 4 great kids – a 10 year old boy, 7 year old girl, and 1 1/2 year old twins. We are trying to remove all processed foods from our diet. You can read about our progress (and check out some recipes) at SimpleInTheSuburbs.com.
Get Started
Are you new to Once A Month Mom or once a month cooking (oamc) in general? If so, you might want to spend a few minutes (or hours) on the Get Started Series. If you are in a real hurry to catch on we have written some simple steps for getting started. Welcome!

Any plans to add a vegan menu to the monthly options? I’ve been looking for vegan monthly cooking and would LOVE if you added that to the mix!
Not at this time Ashley, but our Vegetarian Menu is worth looking at because there are a lot of vegan recipes or easily adaptable
Thanks so much for this, but I think there are a few formula/calculation problems in the grocery list. I put 4 in the yellow box in both the recipe cards and grocery list, and the grocery list is telling me to buy 8 pie crusts (as opposed to 4 in the recipe cards). Also, the grocery list had 16 onions lists, but when I look at the chopping list, it had 64 listed for a total of 80 cups.
Sorry for that Lauren! It was a formula error. Should be fine now.
