I don’t know about you all, but February is a crazy month for our family (our wedding anniversary, Valentine’s Day, the beginning of Lent and a toddler birthday) and, in some ways, I feel like I’m STILL recovering from holiday cooking. So this month, I needed a break with an easy and delicious March menu. Eight, yes more than half, of the March menu items are No Cook OAMC Big Day meals. Woohoo! Oh happy cooking day!
In spite of its simplicity on cooking day, the March menu still celebrates seasonal ingredients with flair. Strawberries, Rhubarb, Spinach, Broccoli and Asparagus all have starring roles this month.
For a detailed explanation of what is involved in creating the vegetarian menu we have a post explaining it all. If you are new and not sure how to get started we have a wonderful series starting with 5 easy steps to get you on your way to once a month cooking. Good luck!

Test Cooks
Each month we have some wonderful volunteers who “test” out the menu prior to publication. They do an amazing job of helping to eliminate confusion and mistakes. They may not catch everything but they sure do catch A LOT! If you are interested in test cook, feel free to volunteer. Here is a little bit about this month’s test cooks:
- Taryn Jeffries – I am a wife, mother of 2 boys (Aiden 6 and Cole 2), Accountant by day and Staff Writer for PhoenixBites.com. I love to cook the best possible meals for my family and love trying out new things.

I just discovered OAMM and thank you so much for doing a vegetarian menu! I’m a grad student and I have no time to cook any more, so having a freezer menu I can make in a day is SUCH a relief.
This looks so yummy and I’m looking forward to making it over Spring break. Thank you for helping a starving student eat well over the busiest month of the year!
I’m so glad we could help! Let us know how it goes after you get to enjoy a few meals from the freezer! Good luck!
I loved the creamy quinoa primavera! So did my kids, after they dared to try it. : )
