Honestly, I think that my husband has had more craving during this pregnancy than I have. One night several months ago he declared, at 10 pm, that he was headed to the grocery store to buy pie crusts because he wanted some homemade cinnamon swirls. “Okkkkaaaayyy.” That was my response.
Traditionally, I don’t like these things. However, the hormones must be “messing” with me because ever since he made them, I have been craving them. They are simple and easy and you likely could figure these out without a recipe. But, I thought I would post about them anyway. After all, maybe you are pregnant and your husband will have cravings too!

Ingredients:
- 2 ready made pie crusts (of course if you are ambitious you can make your own pie crusts)
- .25 cup of butter, softened
- .25 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
In a small bowl mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Allow pie crusts to sit out 10-15 minutes to soften. When ready, lay pie crusts out on a cookie sheet. Spread butter over pie crust. Use cinnamon/sugar mixture and sprinkle over entire pie crusts. Roll pie crusts. Cut slices and set on cookie sheet to bake. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until dough is cooked and slightly browned. Cool.
Freezing Directions:
When cinnamon swirls are completely cooled place them in a large zipper freezer bag and freeze. To serve: Microwave or bake until warmed through.
Servings: 6-8

I had a burrito two nights ago ( I LOVE Mexican food and my husband hates it) and last night he told me he was craving a burrito. I thought I might die of shock/happiness!

Oh my goodness…those look delicious!
So you dont use brown sugar? I’ve never made cinnamon rolls but I guess I always assumed it was brown sugar…sounds super yummy and easy!!! I am also pregnant (32 wks) and I agree with the husband cravings…
No brown sugar. Simple but also simply delicious. Hmmm, I might have to make some of these tonight too.
Can’t wait to try! So simple and quick. Just my style!
Thanks for this recipe. I will be trying it this weekend. I have a couple of pie crusts in the frig just waiting.
My mother has made these as her home made cinnamon rolls my entire life. Except she makes them with crescent rolls. I stumbled upon a similar recipe I make using puff pastry dough… SO GOOD, but even easier! No butter necessary
