Weight Watcher’s Fresh Meals Product Review
You may have noticed that the diet menu this month is for the entire summer. Since the warmer months can often be some of the busiest, you will probably enjoy having a freezer full of meals but also some room to be flexible with your meal options. It could be a perfect time to try new recipes or even a few pre-made meals like the Weight Watcher’s Fresh Meals.
I was recently sent a few to try and I was a bit hesitant at first. I’ve never been one to stock my freezer full of store-bought frozen meals. But, when the meals showed up in a cooler on my doorstep, I was excited to find out that they’re not meant to be frozen….they are FRESH meals meant to be refrigerated!
I tried them all: Three Macaroni and Cheese, Roast Turkey, Three Cheese Ravioli, Mediterranean Style Chicken, and Baked Ziti. I’m not a mayonnaise person so, unfortunately I couldn’t try the Potato, Macaroni, or Chicken Salad. Here’s are my takeaways.
Pros and Cons:
Taste. The meals were delicious and I truly enjoyed the variety.
Variety. I don’t usually make ravioli and I certainly don’t have turkey and dressing stocked up out of season, so it was such a treat to have a little variety for my meal choices. It’s nice to be able to have turkey and dressing in a month other than November!
Portion control. Having pre-portioned meals with nutritional information and PointsPlus information right on the package is a perfect solution for someone like me who could easily eat an entire casserole (well, almost!). Even though I’m not a potato, chicken, or macaroni salad kind of gal, they are the perfect solution for sticking to a diet in the summer months. If you’re invited to a summer cookout where you know there will be lots of mayo-laden “salads”, you could remove the temptation by bringing your own portion-sized “salad” along for yourself.
Freez-ability. I said earlier that these aren’t freezer meals. But, I wasn’t going to be able to eat them all before the expiration date so I decided to give it a try. When I was ready to eat, I microwaved them for the same time that was on the instructions and it worked perfectly.
Availability. Instead of going out to lunch each day, these meals are a great solution for the busy working mom (or dad!). They can run in the store, pick up a meal, eat, and get back to the daily grind. It’s a much better solution for the waistline and wallet ($2.99 each) than a trip to the local restaurant. Unfortunately, they’re not available cross-country yet. Hopefully soon!
Where to find Weight Watcher’s Fresh Meals:
You can find these meals in the refrigerated areas of the deli or meat sections (not the frozen section) at stores mostly on the East Coast. If you have a Publix, Stop & Shop, Shaws, Market Basket, Acme, Giant, Big Y, Price Chopper, Duane Reade, Shoprite, Foodtown, Gristedes, Food Emporium, King Kullen, Key Food, nearby you may want to check them out. You can also order online at Peapod.
Disclosure: I was given the meals to try but was not compensated or required to review.

Thanks for posting, I am going to share with my WW buddies!

Have been enjoying these meals for a few months. Just had a new one- chicken curry and rice and it was absolutely delicious. Please keep this one in your product line. Hope other stores get it too. Got this one in Market Basket.
