Yes it’s the day before Thanksgiving, are you in charge of a side dish and STILL have nothing? Try these sauteed carrots with sage, sure to please everyone at your table. Leaving you room for that pumpkin roll.
Sauteed Carrots with Sage

Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 3 cups carrots, preferably organic, diagonally sliced
- 4 Tablespoons water
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 teaspoons fresh sage leaves lightly cut
Directions:
Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add oil to pan and allow to melt. Add carrot and water. Partially cover pan with lid or aluminum foil and cook for approximately 10 minutes or until carrots are tender. Add sea salt, pepper and garlic powder to pan; increase to medium-high heat. Cook 4 minutes or until carrots are tender and lightly browned, stirring frequently. Sprinkle with sage leaves.
Freezing Directions:
Not recommended.
